RAF Neatishead, Norfolk – Removal of two Radar Masts – April 2021

Think Lifting were tasked to plan and remove two redundant radar masts from inside a secure RAF facility in Norfolk.

A 60t crane was used for lifting the mast, with a high level boom to sling each item and for the burners to have access. Each tower was lifted down safely in three sections. The first piece from the top to be lifted down was the radar, followed by the two lower sections of the tower.
