The removal of two redundant chimney stacks at the Pfizer complex near Sandwich. Both chimneys were part of a demolished energy centre, where we had previously hand removed a genset and associated equipment on another visit. These were the last two items to come down on site.
We used a 220t crane and a high level access platform for the burners to gain access and cut free each section. Over the last few years we have removed a number of redundant stacks, but have also been involved with the install of over a dozen new energy centre chimneys across the country, which have been tandem lifted into position.
